Stockholm III

Day II
An overcast day. We booked a tour on one of the sightseeing boats to learn a bit more about the city.

In the afternoon we left Stockholm for Helsinki on board of Silija Line's "Symphony".

A little welcome drink at "New York" Lounge.

Oh that glorious sunset.

Stockholm I

Day I

We arrived at Stockholm in the late afternoon and went directly to our hotel at Östermalm, where we checked in and had a quick dinner. Right afteron we jumped back in our little rental car and drove down to Gambla stan, the old town of Stockholm. And boy, was it beautiful there. Cute little cobblestoned streets with lovely shops and tiny restaurants, old and impressive buildings and hidden places. We had a blast wandering around there and watch those beautifully decorated window displays.

Sunday rainy Sunday

I like mornings. I like breakfast. I like my first cup of tea, my first coffee. And I like to have all time to enjoy it. Not that hectical rush during the week, having a quick muesli while preparing to leave for work...
Yesterday it was all perfect. A quiet Sunday morning while it was raining outside, our little town still sleeping. No hurry at all and the only sound were the raindrops falling on the window.

summertime

What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade.

All following shots were taken on a perfect summer evening in my father's garden.

the season of summer

Now the summer season is slowly starting, that means bbq with friends, long nights under the stars with wine, chats and laughter. The birds are singing and the flowers are smelling oh so good. And it's the season of fresh berries. Oh, and I just can't wait for my first swim of the year. Right now the water at our lakes and at the Baltic sea it's still too cold, but soon.....Yeah, I can't wait:)
